Lori Kain is the director of community and government relations for Global Connections to Employment (GCE). She is based in Pensacola, Florida, where GCE headquarters is located.

GCE is one of the country’s largest private employers of persons with disabilities, with sites in multiple states across the country. Lori is responsible for building and retaining relationships with federal agencies, key committees, and congressional leaders and their staff on Capitol Hill in multiple states to improve job opportunities for people with disabilities. Her passion is to advocate for people with disabilities so that they can have the same opportunities as anyone else in achieving independence and life goals.

Knowing that the key to empowering people with disabilities is employment, Lori collaborates with government affairs peers on initiatives to benefit those whom GCE serves. She strives to build consensus, and she always keeps her eye on both short- and long-term objectives.

Lori serves at local and national levels on various committees to help advance the GCE cause. Whether analyzing data, attending employee recognition events, or helping to change federal policy or regulations, Lori is invested in leading change at any level possible to expand job opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Lori received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from SUNY College of Arts and Science in Plattsburgh, New York. In 2024, Lori was recognized as a Pinnacle Award honoree from 850 Business Magazine for her tireless efforts to help persons with disabilities who seek independence through employment.
