Russ Schreiner is the vice president of operations for Global Connections to Employment (GCE), one of the country’s largest private employers of persons with disabilities. Russ and his team are responsible for managing and growing lines of business in locations throughout the country. He leads a team of five senior directors of operations.

His history with this organization started in 1987. Russ took a position to help grow Southeastern Vocational Services (pre-GCE), an industrial workshop and small service contract division at the time. He was part of the team that grew GCE from a $1.5 million agency to a top 10 SourceAmerica® nonprofit agency. Part of that growth included opening new lines of business to include mail, switchboard and health care environmental services. He also assisted with start-ups across the country.

In 2005, Russ took a role managing a mentor protégé program, a joint collaboration between GCE and SourceAmerica. The program trained other nonprofit agencies (NPAs) to create job opportunities in the custodial services industry, a GCE line of business. Russ created training materials and provided direct consultation to NPAs.

Prior to becoming vice president of operation, Russ served as a senior director of operations. He collaborated with other GCE leaders to manage contract operations. In this role, he managed federal contracts across multiple lines of business generating approximately $18.5 million in annual revenue and providing 220 jobs for persons with disabilities.

Russ grew up in Gulf Breeze, Florida. He has been an avid surfer for 50 years. He also loves to read and is a ministry partner at his church. He resides in the area with his wife. He has two sons and one granddaughter.
