Dejuan Edwards, fondly known by colleagues and friends as “Mr. D,” is a valued GCE team member who works as a custodian at LifeView Group‘s main campus in Pensacola.

For more than 17 years, Mr. D has been a dedicated team member, playing an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through the doors.

Each morning, Mr. D begins his day by taking the Escambia County Area Transit bus to clock in for his 7 a.m. shift, and he’s always early. His commitment to reliability reflects his appreciation and love for his team and community.

“I do it for the family. GCE is my family. They support me,” said Mr. D.

During COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. D’s role became more important than ever before. Through it all, he showed up with a smile, taking extra care to keep our headquarters clean by wiping doorknobs and light switches.

Mr. D continues to bring that same level of care and consistency to his work each day. His steady presence in the office and attention to detail make a lasting impact on the campus’ community.

Outside of work, Mr. D leads an active and fun-filled life. He enjoys participating in the Special Olympics alongside his friends from GCE, where he competes in sports such as bocce and bowling. Mr. D also enjoys participating in community events, including his favorite—the Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine.
