Pensacola, Fla. (July 10, 2023) – Global Connections to Employment (GCE) named Russ Schreiner vice president of operations.

In his new role, Russ reports directly to Dwight David, the president of GCE. Russ is responsible for GCE contract operations totaling approximately $110 million. He manages and grows all lines of business to create substantial employment opportunities for persons with significant disabilities in both commercial and government sectors. He works to ensure that contract site operations and performance meet customer requirements and serve as a liaison to all partners involved.

Most recently, Russ served as senior director of operations collaborating with the GCE leadership team to create job opportunities for persons with significant disabilities while also managing net margins for the organization. He managed federal service contracts in multiple lines of business, primarily custodial and business services, and in multiple states. Under Russ, contract services generated approximately $18 million annually and provided jobs for nearly 200 persons with disabilities.  

Russ started with GCE in1987 when it was named Southeastern Vocational Services, and he has been instrumental in helping grow GCE from a small in-house workshop with one federal contract to one of the country’s largest private employers of persons with disabilities. He began the first contract outside the local Pensacola area, as well as subsequent start-up contracts across the country, in multiple new lines of business.

Russ is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, serves on the Global Bio-risk Advisory Council, and leads development training for leaders across the country.
