Pensacola, Fla. (April 19, 2023) – The Global Connections to Employment food services team at Naval Station Newport Rhode Island achieved its twelfth five-star accreditation in 2023 for excellence in food services operations.

What does it mean to achieve a five-star accreditation?

GCE also has received a five-star annual accreditation at Naval Air Station Pensacola (Pensacola, FL) every year since 2001 and received the Ney Award in 2010.

“This particular site is where our Team Member of the Year, Antanika Doukkali, works,” said Dwight Davis, president of GCE. “I can’t say enough about this team and the work they do to serve our military men and women. They are an impressive operation and are valued partners among the officers, Navy sailors and others who come through the galley. They really embrace our mission.”
